This thought-provoking topic became the focus of my recent Erasmus+ training course in Cyprus, where participants from different European countries came together to explore the opportunities and challenges of AI in education.

Throughout the project, we discovered how artificial intelligence can support both teachers and learners. 

Rather than discussing only theoretical concepts, we had the opportunity to test a wide range of AI-powered tools and platforms. We explored how AI can help educators prepare engaging lessons, create learning materials, assess students' progress, generate creative content, and save valuable time on routine tasks.

One of the key lessons from the training was that AI should not be viewed as a replacement for teachers, but as a powerful assistant.

However, Erasmus+ is about much more than professional development.

The project brought together participants from various cultural and educational backgrounds, creating an inspiring environment for collaboration and exchange. Through workshops, discussions, teamwork, and informal conversations, we shared ideas, learned from one another's experiences, and built friendships that extend beyond the duration of the project. These intercultural connections are one of the most valuable aspects of every Erasmus+ experience.

As AI continues to evolve, the question remains open: Can artificial intelligence truly replace people, or will it always need the human touch to create meaningful learning experiences?

From my experience, the answer is clear: AI is an incredible tool, but education will always need passionate, creative, and empathetic people to guide and inspire future generations.

Taking part in this Erasmus+ project was an unforgettable experience. It broadened my understanding of artificial intelligence, showed me practical ways to integrate AI into education responsibly, and reminded me that technology is most effective when it empowers people rather than replaces them.
